Commissioner · District 7

Meet Raquel

Raquel Regalado

Raquel Regalado is the first Miami-born Hispanic woman elected to the Miami-Dade County Commission. Having grown up in Miami, she has a deep appreciation for the people, places and experiences that make this community special. Representing District 7, including Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne and South Miami, she is an unwavering advocate for our environment, infrastructure, families and small businesses.

From protecting Biscayne Bay to championing neurodivergent children and adults, Commissioner Regalado believes county government works best when it works alongside its residents. That means creating more opportunities to connect, share information, access resources and get involved in the community we call home.

Neurodivergent Advocacy

A statewide leader for neurodivergent children and adults, expanding sensory-friendly programs and inclusive county services.

Environmental Resilience

Protecting Biscayne Bay, upgrading water & sewer infrastructure, and preparing District 7 for a resilient future.

Education & Families

A former school board member fighting for strong schools, after-school programs, and resources for every family.

Small Business & Economy

Championing local entrepreneurs with streamlined permitting, county grants, and economic development.
